What is codec G.729?
The G.729 codec is an industry standard codec. It compresses normal voice bandwidth down to the one eights of the size.
A typical call consumes 64Kbps of voice bandwidth. Codec G.729 reduces the call to 8 Kbps.
The codec G.729 option is available on Brekeke PBX. Additional charges to add codec license is US$10 per end user point.
Please note that the codec license is not transferable. Once the codec license is attached to a license, the codec license cannot be transferred to other license of Brekeke PBX.
