Connecting with VoIP-Express

VoIP-Express (http://www.VoIP-express.net/) offers telephone service using the VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) standard SIP (Session Initiation Protocol). The service allow users making and/or receiving VoIP calls to/from VoIP telephone numbers and making/receiving calls to/from PSTN telephone numbers. This document will explain how to utilize Brekeke PBX with VoIP-Express.

Setting Up a VoIP-Express Account

Please obtain an account from the VoIP-Express website (http://www.VoIP-express.net)

ARS Configuration for VoIP-Express

To define ARS settings for your VoIP-Express account:
Open [ARS] menu > [Settings] >[VoIP-Express] in the PBX Admintool. Once the page displays, click on the “Edit Variables” and enter the information for each variable.

How to make calls

• Incoming call: Calling from PSTN phone number in the US to Brekeke PBX extension 1001.
  Dial as: 01144 + user ID (131xxxxxxx)
  
• Outgoing Call: Calling from Brekeke PBX extension to a PSTN number in the US.
  Dial as: 9+country code+ area code + landline number
  (Here: 9 is the prefix you defined at Brekeke PBX ARS)
