486-Busy Here

  1. If a callee receives a "486", please check the status of the callee's UA.The callee's handset may be off, busy, or already been hung-up. In case of hung-up, please restart the machine. If problem still remains, please contact the vendor's technical support.
  2. If either Brekeke SIP Server or Brekeke PBX is responding "486" before an "INVITE" is routed to the callee:
    • For Brekeke SIP Server, please check the Dial Plan because it may have been set to send "486".
    • For Brekeke PBX, please verify if the number of calls have reached its maximum at the [Max concurrent sessions] field.
From PBX v2.2.7.7 and later, the calls will be rejected by PBX when no ARS rule can be applied to the calls from/to non-registered users.  Set ARS Pattern-IN to accept and route calls from non-registered users to Brekeke PBX extension.
Check Update Issues for PBX v2.2.7.7 and later for necessary Dial Plans and ARS rules.
  3. INVITE might have been routed to an unexpected terminal, and this terminal might be sending "486" response、If possible, use a packet capture tool (such as Ethereal) to find out which terminal is sending INVITE and which terminal is responding "486".
