Connecting with Free World Dialup (FWD)

Free World Dialup (FWD) (http://www.freeworlddialup.com) offers telephone service using the VoIP standard SIP. The service allow users making/receiving VoIP calls to/from VoIP telephone numbers and making VoIP calls to PSTN telephone numbers. FWD lets you make free calls using your favorite telephone, computer or PDA and any broadband connection. It provides calling local or international numbers all with the same ease, speed, and high quality. This document will explain how to utilize Brekeke PBX with FWD.

Setting Up a FWD Account

Go to FWD website to open an account.

ARS Configuration for FWD

To define ARS settings for your BroadVoice account:
Open FWD ARS setup page from [Brekeke PBX Admintool]> [ARS]> [Settings]> [FWD].
Click on the [Edit Variables] and enter the information for each variable.

1. v1: 911888(ex) FWD UserID
2. v2(Password): xyz12345(ex) FWD password
3. v3:1001(ex) PBX Extension number for receiving incoming calls
4. Click on [Save And Update] button.
5. Click on [Edit Template] to go back to Route Template page. Uncheck [disabled] button in General setting.
6. Click on [Save And Update] button.

Brekeke SIP Server Dial Plan Settings

Dial Plan can accommodate the unique requirements of each VoIP service provider.

How to Make Calls

• Call between FWD members:
  Dial as: 9 + a FWD member's userID
  (here: 9 is the prefix defined at Brekeke PBX [FWD ARS]>[Pattern-OUT 1].)
• Incoming call: Calling from PSTN phone number in the US to Brekeke PBX extension 1001.
  There is not DID number (PSTN number) provided by FWD, use IPKall to forward calls from PSTN.
  Login your IPKall account from web browser
  Set the following information and submit your change.
  
  • IP Phone Number: 911888(ex); FWD UserID
  • SIP Proxy: fwd.pulver.com; FWD proxy server address Dial as: 13608888888 (1+IPKall PSTN number)
• Call to PSTN: Calling from Brekeke PBX extension to a PSTN number in the US.
  Dial as: 555
  (Here: In [FWD ARS]>[Pattern-OUT 2]>[Matching patterns:]>[To] field,
  “555” represents the peering number of iConnectHere which is **334.
  “555” is an example number to use. You can use any number that doesn’t coincide with the reserved numbers such as 7*, 8*, 9*, 0*.)

FWD provides a list of service provider partners which users can connect through dialing prefix access codes. For more information on peering numbers, please visit FWD’s website.
